Contacting an Eligible Judicial Officer 

Some Supreme Court judicial officers are eligible judicial officers with the power to determine urgent applications under the following Acts:

  • Section 105.2 of the Criminal Code Act (Cth) 1995
  • Part 2 of the Law Enforcement & National Security (Assumed Identities) Act 2010
  • Part 5 of the Law Enforcement (Powers and Responsibilities) Act 2002
  • Part 3 of the Surveillance Devices Act 2007
  • Part 3 of the Terrorism (Police Powers) Act 2002.

These applications are heard and determined privately in chambers.
